Description

The world of latin grooves is diverse and always exciting. SHADES OF LATIN is a small band show that celebrates this rhythmic style. The show begins with a thirty-second latin percussion feature that leads into the powerful introduction of the classic EL CUMBANCHERO. This is followed by EVIL WAYS, Santana’s great hit, and then NOVUS, a haunting up tempo ballad, also from Carlos Santana. The closer is a blend of old and new, with Pitbull’s I KNOW YOU WANT ME representing the latest latin style, alternating with a beautiful Bolivian folk melody that has come to be known as LA LAMBADA.
