Description
Key Poulan’s marching band show Attraction, the Music of Scheherazade. Composed by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov in 1888, it is based on One Thousand and One Nights, sometimes known as The Arabian Nights. The music combines two features common to Russian music and of Rimsky-Korsakov in particular: dazzling, colorful orchestration and an interest in the East. Originally arranged for the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum & Bugle Corps, this arrangement has been shortened for a competitive band.
